Accessories for Combined Hydraulic Punching and Shearing Ironworker Machines

1. Punch rod

The punch rod, like a piston, transfers the energy of the equipment to the punch. The alignment and installation of punch bars is crucial, especially for some outdated or frequently used punch equipment.

Usually, the punch is harder than the punch rod. This may eventually cause wear at the contact point between the punch rod and the top of the punch of the combined hydraulic punching and shearing ironworker machine. If this situation occurs, the punch will cause severe vibration on the uneven surface of the punch.

2. Die fixing parts

The correct alignment of the die fixing parts and the die seat is equally important as the punch rod. The fixed parts of the joint hydraulic punching and shearing ironworker machine die are used to connect the fixed die and the punching machine equipment and ensure that they are located in the center position below the punch. Some combined hydraulic punching and shearing ironworker machines are equipped with detachable die seats or die inserts. These are the parts that are prone to wear and tear in the fixed parts of the joint hydraulic punching and shearing ironworker machine.

3. Stripper

The service life of the tool is also affected by the stripper. When a punch is completed, the stripper causes the stamping machine equipment to retract the punch from the sheet. If the stripper is not used correctly, the punch may be damaged by only punching a few holes. If the bottom of the stripper is not parallel, warped, uneven with the stamped sheet, or if the stamped sheet is warped, the sheet will be wedged into the punch. When the punching machine equipment pulls the punch out of the sheet metal, the lateral force brought by the sheet metal wedging into the punch can cause the punch to peel off. In extreme cases, the punch may even break. Some strippers can be connected to the punch and come into contact with the sheet metal. The others require manual adjustment. When using a manual stripper, the space between the bottom of the stripper and the top of the sheet should be adjusted to a small size.

4. Lubricants

Adding lubricants to tools on stamping equipment is crucial for their lifespan. Understanding the small space forces between the punch and the processed sheet metal may help understand the importance of lubricants. When the punch passes through the sheet metal, a small part of the sheet metal will melt on the surface of the punch. As the punch processing continues, the molten material accumulates more and more on the punch, which leads to a larger actual diameter of the punch

When the punch of the combined hydraulic punching and shearing ironworker machine is quickly retracted, there may be residual metal blocks from the last stamping in the die.
